Arrival in Leh & Acclimatization
Morning: Welcome to the Roof of the World Airport Meet & Greet: Land at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh. Our local representative will welcome you and arrange a comfortable private transfer to your pre-booked hotel. Mandatory Acclimatization Rest: Check-in, unwind, and spend the morning resting completely in your room. This is crucial for your body to adjust to the high altitude and thin air. Hydration First: Drink plenty of fluids (water, ORS, or herbal tea) to prevent Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). Afternoon & Evening: Local Culture & Souvenir Hunting Leh Market Exploration: In the late afternoon, take a gentle, slow-paced walk through the vibrant Leh Main Bazaar. Discover local Ladakhi handicrafts, pashmina shawls, and Tibetan artifacts. Sunset at Shanti Stupa: Drive up to the iconic white-domed Shanti Stupa. Skip the steep stairs if you feel lightheaded, and instead enjoy the panoramic sunset views over Leh town and the Indus Valley directly from the driving platform.
